Cookie policy
Preliminary version, subject to legal review before launch.
This Cookie Policy is effective from 9 October 2026. It explains which cookies the StandSense website and platform use, why we use them and how you can manage your choices.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember information between pages or visits, such as whether you are signed in or which language you prefer.
2. Cookies we use
We keep cookies to a minimum. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Strictly necessary
These cookies are needed for the site and platform to work and to keep them secure. They cannot be switched off in the banner.
- authjs.session-token · keeps you signed in to the platform · strictly necessary · session, up to 30 days
- authjs.csrf-token · protects sign-in forms against cross-site request forgery · strictly necessary · session
- authjs.callback-url · returns you to the right page after you sign in · strictly necessary · session
- ss_consent · stores the cookie choices you make in the banner · strictly necessary · 6 months
Functional
- NEXT_LOCALE · remembers the language you chose · functional · 1 year
Analytics (optional)
These load only if you accept analytics in the cookie banner. They help us understand how the site is used (pages, buttons and forms) so we can improve it. They are not used for advertising.
- Google Analytics 4 (
_ga,_ga_*) · measures page views, button clicks and form conversions · analytics · up to 2 years · set by Google when you accept - Microsoft Clarity (
_clck,_clskand similar) · session recordings and heatmaps of how people move through the site · analytics · up to 1 year · set by Microsoft when you accept
You can withdraw consent at any time from "Cookie preferences" in the footer. After that, analytics scripts stop loading on later visits.
3. How long cookies last
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser or when your session ends. The sign-in session cookie can last up to 30 days so that you do not have to sign in every time, and it is removed when you sign out. Persistent cookies, such as NEXT_LOCALE and ss_consent, stay in your browser for the period shown above unless you delete them earlier. Essential and functional cookies listed above are first-party cookies set by StandSense. Analytics cookies are set by Google and Microsoft only after you consent; we do not use advertising or cross-site marketing cookies.
4. How to change your choices
You can review or change your cookie choices at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link in the website footer. Your new choice applies from that moment and is saved in the ss_consent cookie.
You can also control cookies in your browser settings: most browsers let you see, block or delete cookies, either for all sites or for specific ones. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop sign-in and other essential features from working.
5. Changes and contact
We will update this policy if the cookies we use change. If you have any questions, write to privacy@standsense.eu. For more information about how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
